Awards

Application periods for both awards have now ended. Details for the 2021-2022 competition will be released Summer 2021.

The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh is currently offering two awards for the advancement of Holocaust Education:

The 2020-2021 Waldman International Arts and Writing Competition allows students in grades 6-12 to compete for financial scholarship prizes. Winning artists are also recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by the contest organizers.  Click here to learn more.

The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh is excited to announce its fifth annual Holocaust Educator of the Year Award. Created to promote and recognize the importance of Holocaust education, the award is given to a Holocaust educator who inspires critical thought and personal growth through the lessons of the Holocaust. The winner receives $2000 unrestricted, and their school also receives $1000 to advance Holocaust education in their classrooms.  Click here to learn more.
