DESCRIPTION:Dates: October 11-November 17 \nGallery Hours: M-F 11am-5:30pm\, Weekends by Appointment   \nLocation: Susan Bergman Gurrentz ’56 Art Gallery\, Chatham University\, 1 Woodland Rd.\, Pittsburgh\, PA\, 15232\n(The gallery appears as Chatham University Art Gallery when searched for on Google Maps)  \nCost: The exhibition is free and open to the public \nYad Vashem’s exhibition “Righteous Among the Nations” tells the stories of 17 people who rescued Jews during the Holocaust. In a world in which hostility and indifference prevailed\, there was a small non-Jewish minority who regarded the Jews as fellow human beings who came within the bounds of their universe of obligation. These individuals mustered extraordinary courage to uphold human values\, and to rescue hunted Jews with no expectation of remuneration. These were the Righteous Among the Nations. Rescue took many forms and the Righteous came from different nations\, religions and walks of life.
