Esther Haas (z”l)

May 8, 1919 – November 22, 2008

Esther Haas was born on May 8, 1919, in The Hague, The Netherlands, the daughter of Michel and Anna Eyl Blok. During the Holocaust she was in Westerbork Transit Camp and in Auschwitz. After the war she was a housewife and worked in a store owned by her husband, Joseph Haas. Esther’s parents and two sisters did not survive the Holocaust; only one sister, Klara, survived.
