Bill and Mardi Isler (nominated by Melissa Hiller, Community Engagement and Development Officer, Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh) are being honored for embodying the Jewish value of “love your neighbor as yourself” through their involvement in the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and the Eradicate Hate Global Summit.

Righteous Among the Neighbors is a project of the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh that honors non-Jewish Pittsburghers who support the Jewish community and take action to uproot antisemitism. Bill and Mardi Isler are honorees in the class of 2024.

In partnership with the LIGHT Education Initiative and Mt. Lebanon High School, student journalists have once again interviewed honorees and wrote article-length profiles about their efforts. This year, the articles will each be published in the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle!
