The Holocaust Education Patch Program is designed so that Girl Scouts and other participants can take part no matter where they are located! The Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation (MSHEF) is partnering with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh to support troops and school groups working to earn the patch across the country.

Grant Opportunities

Troop leaders and teachers can apply to receive a financial grant from MSHEF to fund or subsidize Holocaust Education Patch Program activities and resources, such as a field trip to a Holocaust Museum, books from the recommended resource list, or CHUTZ-POW! Superheroes of the Holocaust comic books. For ideas, you can use MSHEF’s Holocaust Education Hub, a free database you can filter by State, Grade Level, Resource Type, and more. .

MSHEF grants run on a school calendar year. Applications open every August, and recipients are notified in November. The Grant Application Information form can be filled out year-round. If submitted, you will be notified when applications open. Learn more here.
