Concentration camps imprisoned millions in Nazi Germany and Nazi-occupied Europe between 1933 and 1945. The liberation of these camps showed the world the horrors of the Holocaust.

This year’s digital Yom HaShoah program marks 75 years since the last of these camps were liberated, and will honor local liberators and their families.

Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, is the day set aside to remember the approximately six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.

The 2020 Yom HaShoah program is underwritten by Agnes Rocher and Family, in memory of her husband George.

The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh connects the horrors of the Holocaust and antisemitism with injustices of today. Through education, the Holocaust Center seeks to address these injustices and empower individuals to build a more civil and humane society.

Offerings include: exhibits in our public gallery, an extensive library and archive, engaging cultural events, internationally renowned speakers, and free and affordable resources for teachers.

Our exhibit space at Chatham University has opened to the public! Tickets are available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for three entry times: noon, 1:00, or 2:00.
