Julia grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, where she developed a passion for activism, advocacy, and community work. She went on to study psychology and public policy at Chatham University.
In 2019, Julia was accepted into the Bonner Leaders program at Chatham, which included a weekly commitment to intensive and meaningful service with a local community organization. After a matching process, she got to work with her first choice: The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh. She stayed on as a work study intern through all four years of her undergraduate studies, developing a role in the Center’s social media, marketing, and education.
Julia was thrilled to be hired into the role of Marketing and Education Associate after she graduated in 2023. In addition to expanding the Holocaust Center’s reach through social media, web management, and marketing, she manages a diverse array of educational programs.
