Thank you for your interest in this exhibit!
The Jennie King Mellon Library is home to an upcoming exhibit from the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh. We anticipate that it will open to the public summer 2022.
When it does, you can expect a space that explores the history of Jewish life before the Holocaust and the devastating impact of the Holocaust on European Jewry. It will discuss the impacts that antisemitism has had on the present, including the attack on Tree of Life. Most importantly, it will discuss survivors, resilience, and what each of us can do to use the lessons of history to make the future brighter.
This story will be told through a curated collection of items from our larger store of art and artifacts, some of which you may already be able to see through the window.
We look forward to sharing more with you soon!
In the meantime, learn more about the Center and our offerings through our homepage, and check out our upcoming events (virtual and hybrid online/in-person).
