Coming soon: A new semi-permanent exhibit at Chatham University
On Display Now (online): For You Were Strangers: Jewish Immigration to Pittsburgh, 1880-1990
Permanent Collection
Through the generosity of donors, we maintain a collection of artifacts from the Holocaust and World War II era. A concentration camp uniform coat is on permanent display. The center currently features two large-scale, collage/mixed media pieces: Anne and From Whole Cloth by Mitzi Trachtenberg, a Pittsburgh artist; and Man of Auschwitz and Father of Orphans, part of the Warsaw Woodcuts series by Bruce Carter. We also present our own exhibits, such as In Celebration of Life: Living Legacy Project, along with artistic works from student participants in our annual Waldman International Arts and Writing Competition.
